We believe in collecting the absolute minimum amount of personal data required to make NestCash work.

• No Plain-Text Emails: We do not store your email address in plain text. We use AES-256-GCM encryption and blind-indexing to securely associate your account without exposing your personal contact information.
• Support IDs: You are assigned a randomized Support ID to securely communicate with us without needing to provide an email.

Bank-Grade Connections

We use Plaid, the industry standard trusted by Venmo and American Express, to securely link your financial institutions.

• No Credentials Stored: We never see, touch, or store your bank usernames or passwords on our servers.
• Instant Revocation: You are in complete control. Disconnecting an account in NestCash instantly revokes our access token at the bank level.

Read-Only Access

NestCash is a window, not a door. We can view your balances and transactions to calculate your budget metrics, but our system has zero ability to move money, pay bills, or initiate transfers between your external accounts.

How We Use Your Data

The data we retrieve is used strictly to power your personal budgeting dashboards, savings funds, and cash-on-hand calculations. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
